Owls Return To Compete At U.H. On Saturday
Last week Parish zoomed to the fastest 500-freestyle in Conference USA this season with a time of 4:52.32 in a dual meet across town at No. 25 ranked Houston (Feb. 3). The senior from San Antonio, Texas, also registered a season-best 1:50.24 in the 200-freestyle against the Cougars, which is the second-fastest mark in the league this year. Parish also contributed to the team as a member of a 400-freestyle relay.
This is the third time in her career for Parish to be named the C-USA Swimmer of the Week. Rice swimmers are next in action on Saturday (Feb. 13) participating in the First Chance meet at the U.H. Rec Center Natatorium. The meet is the Owls' final competition before the annual C-USA Championships Feb. 24-27.
North Texas' Megan Miller was named the C-USA Diver of the Week. All C-USA weekly awards are presented by Surf and Turf Golf.
