Owls Welcome #25 Texas A&M on Saturday

Final competition of 2021
The Rice women's swimming team returns to competition for the final time in 2021 as the Owls welcome 25th ranked Texas A&M to the Rice Competition Pool on Saturday (December 4) at noon. The meet coincides with the end of fall classes.
Owls head coach Seth Huston previews the annual matchup with the Aggies in the video above and also reflects on the Owls' performance at the Phill Hansel Invitational two weeks ago, highlighted by Madison Howe and Arielle Hayon's 1-2 finish in the 100 fly.
Howe's winning time of 52.82 and Hayon 53.43 effort each met the NCAA B standard. Howe's time bettered her personal best of 53.20 and retained her place as the second-fastest in the event in Rice history, while Hayon's time moved into fourth.
The Owls will break for the holidays after completing final exams and return to team activities during a week of training in Ft. Myers, Florida at the end of December before returning to Rice to take on SMU on January 8, two days before the start of second-semester classes.
