
Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

HOUSTON — The Rice Soccer program earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, announced by the organization.
The award recognizes programs for exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2020-21 school year.
This is the 14th consecutive season that the Owls have earned the award and the 15th time in program history. Six other C-USA schools were also recognized by the organization.
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of college soccer teams whose student-athletes demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year. College Team Academic Award recipients are members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program and post a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2020-21 academic year.
Rice continues its season this Friday, Oct. 6, when it hosts UAB at 7 p.m.
