
Killgore Named C-USA Goalkeeper of the Week

HOUSTON — Rice Soccer's Bella Killgore was named the Conference USA Goalkeeper of the Week, the league office announced Sunday afternoon.
Killgore faced a season-high 37 shots against North Texas, stopping a career-high 14, the most in C-USA this year, in a 1-1 double-overtime tie. The 14 saves are the second-most in school history and tied the seventh-most in a single game in C-USA history. The junior from Houston, Texas also scored the only Rice goal, connecting on her first of the year on a penalty kick that gave the Owls a 1-0 lead. The honor is her second of the year and the fourth of her career.
The Owls begin the Conference USA Tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 3, when it faces Middle Tennessee in Boca Raton, Fla. The match is scheduled for 10 a.m. on ESPN+.
