In Brief: Emir Sendogan picked up a pair of wins while Dylan Heap and AJ Valenty ground out a win in doubles to highlight action for Rice on the first day of action at The Rice Fall Challenge at the George R. Brown Tennis Center on Friday.
The Details: Sendogan opened his day by combing with Takeyasu Sekiguchi of Texas Tech to pick up win in doubles and then outlasted SMU's Jordi Redelijk in three sets. Heap and Valenty were extended to a tiebreaker before defeating Tulane's Alex Bancila and Fynn Kuenkler 9-8.
