
Rice Soccer Duo Named to TopDrawerSoccer’s Midseason Top 100

HOUSTON — Rice Soccer defender Mijke Roelfsema and midfielder Delaney Schultz were named to TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Top 100 Players, the organization announced.
Roelfsema is listed as the 63rd-ranked player while Schultz is the 77th.
Roelfsema has anchored a backend that allowed just 0.83 in her 12 games played. She helped limit all opponents to 13.6 shots per game and just 5.8 shots on goal per game. She has also recorded two assists while taking most of the team's corner kicks.
Schultz leads Conference USA in points (23), points per game (1.64) and game-winning goals (3) while placing second in goals (8) and assists (7). She has scored or assisted on 15 of Rice's 22 goals and became just the third player in school history with 20 goals and 20 assists in a career.
Rice begins its final homestand of the year this Sunday, Oct. 17, when it hosts UTSA. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. and will be streamed at CUSAtv.
