HOUSTON – The Rice Owls' 2020-21 soccer schedule is set for a total of 14 matches, including nine at home at Holloway Field. The soccer schedule may have moved from the fall of 2020 to the spring 2021, but the honor hosting of the Conference USA Championship has not changed. Rice welcomes the league's top eight teams in the annual C-USA postseason tournament April 13-17.

Under the direction of head coach Brian Lee, Rice Soccer is celebrating its 20th season since starting the program in 2001. The first event is a home exhibition match against Houston on January 30. The season officially begins with a road game at McNeese on February 4. The Owls are then right back home at Holloway Field for the first of four-straight home games, starting with HBU as the home-opener on Feb. 7 at 2 pm.
The Blue & Gray also welcome SMU, Texas Southern and UTSA* to Holloway Field in non-conference games (the UTSA match is the first of two meetings with the Roadrunners at home & away, with only the second officially serving as league match). The C-USA opponents to visit Rice this spring includes 2019 regular season co-champion North Texas, Southern Miss, and UTEP. The remaining C-USA road games are at Louisiana Tech, UAB and UTSA. Rice also plays a non-conference road game at Houston for a 13-game regular season schedule.
This spring the Owl soccer team returns 20 letterwinners from the previous season, last taking the field in the fall of 2019. The Owls have also welcomed in a talented new recruiting class.
