
Jackson Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

Jackson was recognized as one of the nation's top student-athletes for her combined performances on the track and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Honorees will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic AllAmerica honorees will be announced from June 22-25.
Jackson maintained a 3.84 GPA while majoring in Bioengineering. The native of Sulphur, La. helped guide the Owls to a first place finish at the Conference USA Indoor Championships by winning the 200m dash and placing third in the 60m dash. Jackson was the 2020 Rice Scholar Athlete of the Year for women's track & field and was the 2019 C-USA Scholar Athlete of the Year. A four-time C-USA champion, Jackson has been named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll three times.
The women's All-District teams were selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The District 7 honorees consists of 12 student-athletes that have earned a 3.3 cumulative grade point average or better and are a key member on their team.
