Three Owls Earn All-Region Honors

2019 All-South Region Honorees
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Rice trio of Mijke Roelfsema, Delaney Schultz and Lianne Mananquil were named to the United Soccer Coaches 2019 All-South Region teams, it was announced this week.
The coaching organization's South Region (consisting of head coaches from Conference USA, the American Athletic, Atlantic Sun and Ohio Valley conferences) voted Roelfsema and Schultz to second team honors and Mananquil to third team honors. A total of 42 student-athletes were named to the three all-South Region teams in 2019.
The Rice honorees trained under the direction of Owl head coach Brian Lee. The Rice soccer program compiled a winning 10-6-3 record and tied for third place in the 2019 C-USA standings.
