Racasan Named Academic All-District

Complete Honorees List (by district)
Rice senior Elsa Racasan was named to the 2017-2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 Women's Track/Cross Country Team, selected by CoSIDA, the organization announced on Tuesday (May 29).
Racasan maintained a 4.11 GPA while majoring in Kinesiology. The native of Lugrin, France, helped guide the Owls to a third place finish at the Conference USA Championships by placing ninth individually to earn second team all-league honors. She is a three-time C-USA All-Academic Team selection and the 2017 Rice Scholar Athlete of the Year for Women's Cross Country.
The women's All-District teams were selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The District 7 honorees consists of 12 student-athletes that have earned a 3.3 cumulative grade point average or better and are a key member on their team. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams announced in June.
