IRVING, Texas - Rice sophomore sprinter Hannah Jackson was selected the Conference USA Female Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this outdoor season, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Jackson won the 200m dash and placed second in the 100m dash at last weekend's Houston Alumni Invitational. The Sulphur, La. native's time of 22.97 (w 3.6) in the 200m is tied for 14th-best in the nation while already owning the 34th-fastest time in the country in the 100m dash.
Including the indoor season, Jackson has now won four C-USA weekly awards heading into the final month of the season.
The Owls will be competing at the Bearkat Invitational, hosted by Sam Houston State this Saturday before hosting the annual J. Fred Duckett Twilight on April 21 at Holloway Field.
