Rice to Launch Retail Outlet in Rice Village

Fans of Rice Athletics will soon have their own outlet in Rice Village to find the greatest selection of Owls apparel with the launch of Shop Rice Owls in February.
Located at 2567 Amherst Street in Rice Village, Shop Rice Owls will feature classic fan favorites like t-shirts, polos, hats, and sweatshirts, and through Rice's partnership with Follett on-Demand and ShopRiceOwls.com, fans will have access to thousands of additional options for all Rice sports.
"Rice Athletics is tremendously excited for the opportunity to open a merchandise store in Rice Village, together with our partners at Rice Management Company, Trademark Property, and Follett," Rice Director of Athletics Joe Karlgaard said. "Our alumni and fans have long expressed a desire to see greater availability, variety, and quality of Owls merchandise. We began to address that need when we partnered with Follett in June of 2016 and completely reinvented our stores in the RMC, at Rice Stadium, and at ShopRiceOwls.com. Sales have soared and we've received many compliments on the improvements, and the Shop Rice Owls store in the village is the next step in this process."
The 1,071 square foot retail space will open its doors in mid-February in advance of the official Grand Opening in March.
In addition to housing the most complete selection of Owls merchandise in Houston, Shop Rice Owls will also host a series of special events, including meet & greets with Rice notables, ticket offers and other in-store promotions.
