Lennon Earns C-USA Freshman of the Week

IRVING, Texas - Rice outside hitter Nicole Lennon won her league-best fourth Conference USA Freshman of the Week award this season, the league office announced on Monday (11/13/17) afternoon.
Lennon, from Katy, Texas, tied UTSA's Amanda Gonzales (2015) and Catherine Repsher (Southern Miss-2016) for the most C-USA Freshman of the Week awards in a season.
This past Saturday, Lennon helped lead the Owls to their ninth five-set victory of the season with her best individual performance of the season, collecting 23 kills (.323) and a season-best 24 digs for her team-leading 14th double-double of the season.
Lennon and the rest of the Owls will travel to Bowling Green, Ky. this weekend to begin play at the C-USA Championships, beginning on Friday, Nov. 17 versus Southern Miss at 2 p.m.
