FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Junior Mario Carmona is tied for eighth-place at one-under heading into the final round of the Ram Masters Invitational, played at the par-70, 7,218-yard Fort Collins Country Club.
Carmona shot a 71-68/139 to sit four strokes behind Air Force's Sunwoo Choi. Carmona's 36-hole score of 139 ties a career-low. His 69 is 14th career round of par or better and his fourth career round in the 60's.
As a team, the Owls are in 10th-place at 21-over par. They shot 295-286/581 to sit two strokes behind Idaho.
"Round one was a struggle but the team hung in there and ground out a decent second round," said head coach Justin Emil. "The course was playing difficult with some of the pins placements in some tough spots. We have a chance to make a move tomorrow."
Senior Kevin Reilly is five-over par, tied for 27th-place after carding a 74-71/145. Junior Mitchell Meissner is tied for 49th-place at eight-over par after posting a 73-73/148.
