MacFarlane Earns CoSIDA All-Academic Honors

HOUSTON - Rice senior jumper Belle MacFarlane was selected to the CoSIDA All-Academic District 7 team for the first time in her career, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
MacFarlane, from Dallas, is a double major in both Kinesiology and Psychology with a 3.99 GPA (time of nomination). She recently earned C-USA All-Conference honors with a second place finish in the high jump at the outdoor championships.
Earlier this outdoor season, MacFarlane won the high jump (1.77m) at the Oxy Invitational for one of her four outdoor victories. MacFarlane is a two-time C-USA All-Academic Team selection and has won the C-USA Scholar Athlete of the Year.
MacFarlane, who graduated with a 4.01 GPA, will be competing in the high jump tomorrow (5 p.m.) at the NCAA West Prelims in Lawrence, Kansas.
