Sagel Named to C-USA Cross Country All-Academic Team

IRVING, Texas -- Rice redshirt junior Harry Sagel was selected to the C-USA Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Friday.
The Girona, Spain native boasts a 3.77 GPA in Mechanical Engineering and is now a two-time C-USA All-Academic Team selection. Sagel has also been named to the C-USA Academic Honor Roll three times in his career and has twice been named to the Rice University President's Honor Roll.
Sagel is coming off a 34th place (8k-26:13.3) finish at the C-USA Championships two weeks ago in Bowling Green and placed 67th (8k-25:08.3) at the Pre-Nationals Meet in mid-October.
The men's honorary list was selected by the league's sports information directors. The all-academic team consists of six student-athletes that have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a key member on their team.
Sagel is competing this morning at the NCAA South Central Regional in College Station.
