Women's Track Shines At Duckett Twilight

Rice's women's track squad had multiple athletes post outstanding performances at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight Meet.
"For the last week of classes, I thought our ladies performed really well," said Rice head coach Jim Bevan. "We had some breakthroughs and a lot of good things for this time of year."
Sharae Robinson picked up a pair of event wins, throwing 50.39 m to win the discus and winning the hammer with a throw of 53.82
Claire Uke won the shot put with an outdooor-best of 16.00 m
Rice finished 1-2-3, and had five of the top seven finishers in the 800 m, with Keltie John pulling in the victory at 2:14.08.
Candace Springer ran 12.01 in the women's 100 m, and came a photo finish away from first place, ranking second in the event.
Leslie Schlisky wons the 400 m hurdles with a time of 1:03.27.
