
Men's XC Finishes Sixth At NCAA South Central Regional

Rice's men's cross country squad finished sixth at the NCAA South Central Regional, beating squads such as LSU, Baylor and Houston. Gabe Cuadra had an All-Region performance.
"The team had a great day today," said head coach Jon Warren. "I think the team continued where they left off at conference with a great performance. The Owls had a great day and Gabe Cuadra and Matt Carey ended their cross country careers on a great note."
Cuadra ran a 31:12.9 to finish in 19th place in the meet. John Cavallo ran 31:56.4, and finished in 32nd place. Matt Carey ran 32:04.9 and finished in 35th.
Meron Fessahaie ran a 32:28.2 and finished 44th. Wyatt Doop ran a 32:56.7 and finished 66th. James Llamas also competed in the event.
