Owl Track & Field Teams Named All-Academic

Rice's men's and women's track & field teams were named as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2011 Division I All-Academic Teams. To earn the distinction each team had to post a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better. There were a total of 90 men's squads and 164 women's teams recognized by the USTFCCCA.

The Rice women's team posted a grade point average of 3.35, while the men's team had a cumulative 3.37 gpa.
