Pye and Gill Named to C-USA All-Academic Team

Two Rice Unversity women's track and field athletes have been selected to the 2011 Conference USA Track & Field All-Academic after a vote by the league's sports information contacts for the sport. The list consists of student-athletes who hold a minimum 3.2 GPA and have used a year of eligibility for the indoor and outdoor seasons.
Allison Pye was selected to the All-Academic team for the third-straight year., while senior Tiffany Gill earns her first appearance. Pye held a 3.99 GPA while working toward a degree in both kinesiology and policy studies at Rice. A four-time Academic Medal recipient, she was twice named the Rice Scholar Athlete of the Year for the women's track program.
