Tulsa Reclaims C-USA Men's Tennis Crown

The 36th ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricane reclaimed the Conference USA Men's Tennis Championship by defeating the 2010 champion Rice Owls 4-0 at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa on Sunday.
The match was moved back an hour and moved indoors due to storms that moved through the area on Sunday morning, and the Hurricane moved quickly to setting things, winning the doubles point and then taking first sets in four of six singles matches. They moved closer to clinching their fifth crown in the last six years (all against Rice) with wins No. 1 and No. 4 , then secured the title with a win at No. 2.
Rice's Christian Saravia and Michael Nuesslein both took 7-5 decisions in their first sets, but neither completed their matches after Tulsa clinched the title.
The 42nd ranked Owls fell to 17-9 on the season and will have to wait until May 3 to learn if they will earn a ninth consecutive berth in the NCAA Championship.
