
Miller Places Seventh in 3000m Steeplechase at Mt. SAC Relays

Walnut, Calif. - Rice freshman distance runner Lindsay Miller ran the fifth-fastest 3000m steeplechase in Conference USA for this season at the Mt. SAC Relays held at Hilmer Lodge Stadium Thursday evening. Miller, from Charlotte, N.C., placed seventh in the 3000m steeplechase Open B race with a time of 10:59.44. Miller's previous best was 11:14.75 last week in Austin at the Texas Relays.
Also, Farah Madanay posted a 5000m time of 18:12.32 to place ninth at the Cal State L.A. Twilight Open Thursday evening at Jesse Owens Track. The Owls will continue action at the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday and Saturday, while also fielding entries at the UTEP Invitational on Saturday.
