With his opening-round 70, Wibawa is currently tied for 14th at the tournament.
Rice finished with a 292 on Sunday and is currently tied with host UTSA and Texas-Arlington for 10th place.
The tournament continues through Tuesday.
Led by John Catlin's opening round 66 along with Victor Perez and Gavin Green's sub-70 scores, New Mexico shot a 274 team score and has a five-stroke lead over second-place Houston.
Catlin will begin the second round with a two-stroke lead in the individual standings. Houston's Roman Robledo and Baylor's Joakim Mikkelsen both shot 66s on Sunday and are tied for second.
Behind Wibawa, the Owls were led by fellow sophomore Chris Contreras and senior Erik Mayer. Contreras, a San Antonio native, shot an opening round 73 and is tied for 31st. Mayer shot a 74 and is tied for 45th after 18 holes.
