Daniels Receives Postgraduate Scholarship from C-USA

Rice University track and field athlete Marissa Daniels received one of 11 Postgraduate Scholarship Awards as named by Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky. The conference annually presents the $4,000 Postgraduate Scholarship awards to graduates as selected by the Faculty Athletics Representatives and approved by the Board of Directors.
Daniels competed four years in both cross country and distance events for the track team, earning eight letters with the Owls. A two-time selection to both the C-USA All-Academic Teams for cross country and track & field, Daniels holds the school record for the 5,000 meters and was the C-USA champion in the 10,000 meters. A native of Pearland, Texas, she graduated with a bachelor of arts in kinesiology and plans to enroll in medical school.
