Jimoh 8th in Hurdles at NCAA Regional Meet

Funmi Jimoh finished eighth in the 100 meters hurdles and Rachel Greff tied for 11th in the pole vault Saturday to lead Rice to a tie for 20th in the team standings at the NCAA Midwest Regional Track & Field Championships at Drake Stadium. Jimoh, who won the long jump Friday to gain an auto qualifier to nationals, and Greff are in line for at-large berths to the NCAA national meet, slated for June 6-9 at Sacramento, Calif.
Jimoh clocked 13.90 in the 100 hurdles final, while Greff cleared 3.81 meters/12-6.
Kate Gorry was 12th overall in the 3000 meters steeplechase with a time of 10:48.45, and Shardee Caesar was 25th in the triple jump with a leap of 11.86m/38-11.
