Palo Alto, Calif. - Rice posted a final round 291 to finish 14th at Stanford's U.S. Intercollegiate with a 900 (306-303-291) at the par 70, 6,742-yard Stanford Golf Course. Minnesota (280-281-277) and Stanford (280-276-282) tied for first with 838 scores. The Golden Gophers were five strokes back heading into the final round, but on Sunday posted a 277 to the Cardinal's 282. Stanford's Rob Grube (65-69-68=202) won the event by two strokes over Minesota's Bronson LaCassie (68-69-67=204).
The Owls were led by junior Addison Awe who posted a top 20 finish at tied for 17th with a 214 (70-74-70). Sophomore Kaz Hoffman (79-76-73) and freshman Michael Buttacavoli (79-75-74) tied for 62 with 228 scores to follow Awe.
