Houston - Rice senior Funmi Jimoh was named Conference USA's women's track and field athlete of the week Wednesday by the league office after winning three gold medals at the Texas Southern Relays last weekend. Jimoh had the third-best long jump in the world in any conditions this year with a wind-aided 6.62 meters/21-8.75, and won the 100 hurdles in 13.72 seconds into a stiff wind. Both performances qualified her for the NCAA Regional championships at Des Moines, Iowa, in May. She also ran the lead-off leg on the Owls' winning 4x100 relay that clocked 45.77.
