San Antonio - The Rice Owls golf team shot 302 in the final round to place 10th at the UTSA Intercollegiate with an 897 score (297-298-302) at Oak Hills Country Club (par 71; 6,691 yards) and hosted by UT-San Antonio. Baylor won the event at 855 (290-283-282) and the Bears' Ryan Baca finished first by shooting under par all three rounds for a final score of 199 (64-67-68; -14).
The Owls' Daniel Lee improved three positions to place tied for 13th by shooting 73 in the final 18 holes for a 219 score (73-73-73).
Rice is next in action on March 6-7 (Mon.-Tues.) when it competes at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, La.
