We've all been through a very difficult and stressful period. Hurricanes Katrina and Rita both impacted individuals connected to our Athletic program, some in a very significant way. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who have suffered losses.

We will begin the post hurricane period Tuesday with the start of classes and the resumption of organized practice. It's important that as we resume academic and athletic preparation we remain mindful of the suffering of those affected by the storms, and attempt to reach out to help whenever possible.

Thanks to each of you for all you do to make Rice such a special place.
