
Greff Second At Pan American Jr. Championships

WINDSOR, Canada - Rice sophomore Rachel Greff won the silver medal in the women's pole vault at the Pan American Junior Championships held Sunday in Windsor, Canada.
Representing the United States in the international competition, Greff cleared a height of 3.95 meters (13 feet). Keisa Monterola of Venezuela won the event with a meet record 4.10 meters (13'-5.25"). Greff's mark was just off her career-best height of 4.06 meters set last spring at the NCAA Regional championships. The Houston native and standout from St. Agnes Academy won the U.S. Junior Championship in the pole valut in June.
