Owls Host "Dig For The Cure" Nov. 10

HOUSTON - For the first time, the Rice volleyball team is joining the "Dig for the Cure" program to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The Owls' "Dig for the Cure" match is Nov. 10 against Houston at Autry Court at 7 pm.
The challenge is for fans to pledge money for each dig the Owls record against the Cougars. Anyone who is interested in pledging money or making a donation to the fund, can contact Tammi Warford by e-mailing her at twarford@rice.edu. All funds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation's Houston affiliate.
The program was started by University of Charlotte head volleyball coach Lisa Marston, and the 49ers helped to raise over $3,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation's Charlotte affiliate in each of the last two year.
