Owls Reschedule Two Matches

HOUSTON -- The Rice volleyball team has rescheduled two matches that were postponed when Hurricane Rita came calling last month, and officially cancelled a third, announced head coach Genny Volpe.

The Owls' home match against UAB, originally scheduled for Sept. 23, is now slated for a 2 pm start on Oct. 20 at Autry Court. Rice's match from Sept. 21 at crosstown rival Houston has been rescheduled for Nov. 2 at 7 pm at the UH Alumni Center. Both matches are against Conference USA opponents.

Rice's road match at new C-USA foe Memphis, originally scheduled for Sept. 25, will not be played.
