Senior Marcel Hewamudalige was named Rice's Men's Athlete of the Week after placing second at the Conference USA cross country championships Oct. 29 at Orlando, Fla. Hewamudalige covered the eight-kilometer course in a personal-best 23:37.27, and helped the Owls to a second-place team finish.
