Men's Tennis: #38 Owls to Host #2 Frogs

The Owls are led by freshman Richard Barker, who is 15-4 at the top singles position this spring. Barker improved his national ranking to 67th after upsetting Texas A&M's Shuon Madden, ranked 26th, March 29 in College Station. Barker also teamed with classmate Vuk Rajevac to upset the Aggies top doubles team, which was ranked 13th at the time. Rice improved to 19-3 Thursday with wins against TAMU-Corpus Christi and Centenary.
The Horned Frogs have three singles players ranked in the top 100 this week, and feature fourth-ranked Esteban Carril. Carril has an overall singles record of 21-5 and has won 11 straight. The TCU doubles team of Trace Fielding and Jimmy Haney is currently ranked 19th in the nation. Overall, the Frogs are 15-2 and have won their last six dual matches.
Saturday's action begins with doubles at 11 am, with singles following after a short break.
