Men's Golf: Owls Finish 14th at Udamon Southwest Classic

Over the three rounds, the Owls shot 910 total strokes, 46 strokes off of Baylor, which claimed the team title at the Victoria Country Club, a 72-par, 6,870-yard course. The Bears shot 864 to edge North Texas (866), which had led after the opening two rounds, by two strokes. Tulsa rounded out the top five with an 880.
Baylor's Aaron Pellegrom won the individual crown with scores of 71, 66 and 70 for a nine-under-par 207. He edged Les Philips of North Texas by two strokes. Philips carded scores of 72, 68 and 69 for a 209.
Rice's Drew Conrad tied for 34th with a 227, 20 strokes behind Pellegrom. Conrad shot rounds of 74 and 76 on the first day and fired a 77 in Tuesday's final round. C.W. Mallon turned in the second-best Rice score, carding a 228 to tie for 39th.
The Owls return to action March 13-14 at the Louisiana Classic in Lafayette, La.
