Volleyball: Owls Drop 5th Straight to #2 Hawaii

Houston - The University of Hawaii continued their winning ways with a 3-0 win over Rice, Saturday.
The Rainbow Wahine (18-0, 8-0) handed the Owls (14-10, 3-6) their fifth consecutive loss, 8-15, 12-15, 9-15. Junior Leigh Leman hit .324 behind 16 kills on 34 attempts and five errors, while adding 15 assists and seven digs. Freshman Rebekah Neal got her second start of the season, and posted a career high 21 assists. As a team, Rice hit .196 (39-17-112).
Leading the attack for Hawaii was sophomore Lily Kahumoku who posted 16 kills on 31 attempts and only three errors (.419).
The Owls will have the week off before traveling to Tulsa for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Golden Hurricane next Saturday night. Rice returns to Autry Court on Tuesday, November 7 when they host Stephen F. Austin.
