Rice Opens Conference Play at Home

HOUSTON — Rice volleyball will open American Conference play this weekend with Temple on Friday (6 p.m.) and Tulsa on Sunday (2 p.m.) at Tudor Fieldhouse.

• Senior Middle Blocker Lademi Ogunlana earned her first American Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday Sep, 22 after her outstanding performance in the Rice Invitational II.
•Rice has faced six ranked opponents this season, its most since playing seven in 1992. Four of those were top-10 teams, the most in school history.
• The Owls were picked first in the American Conference Preseason Poll, earning nine of 13 first-place votes.
