Golf Earns PLATFORM Golf President’s Special Recognition Award

HOUSTON — The Rice golf team earned President's Special Recognition Team honors from PLATFORM Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America, the organization announced.
A total of 75 Division I teams received President's Special Recognition status for having team GPAs of 3.5 or better. The Owls were one of three American Conference schools to earn the honor, joining East Carolina and South Florida.
In addition to earning the honor, all 10 golfers were named to the American All-Academic Team, with Blake Benson, Lukas Boandl, Raghav Chugh, Jaivir Pande, and Reggie Zhu being named Cobalt Golf GCAA All-American Scholars.
Harvard was named the Academic National Champion.
