
Owl Fest Set for August 16

Rice fans and friends in the community will have a chance to celebrate the start of the upcoming athletic season, meet and greet their favorite student-athletes, and enjoy a football scrimmage when the Owls host their annual Owl Fest at 5 p.m. on August 16th at Rice Stadium.
Gates 1 and 2 at Rice Stadium will open at 5 p.m., and fans will be able to experience a full slate of food and beverages, including Monster Energy, Ben & Jerry's, and specialty food trucks, as well as the Rice Athletics photo booth, face painting, balloon artist, a live DJ and an inflatable kid's zone
Members of Rice's fall sports teams will be signing autographs on the West Stadium concourse beginning at 5:15 p.m. Fans will also have the opportunity to visit the Shop Rice Owls team apparel shop.
Dunlevie Family Head Football Coach Scott Abell's football team will be practicing in the stadium until 5:45, followed by an autograph session with the team and coaching staff on the field.
Throughout the event, the Rice Ticketing staff will be available at the Fan Services table to help fans lock in their seats for the upcoming year. Admission to Owl Fest is free, and complimentary parking is available in the Greenbriar Lot on the west side of the stadium.
Single-game tickets for all seven of Rice's 2025 home football games are now on sale starting at $22 online HERE or by calling (713) 348-OWLS (6957). Owls' fans also have the option to secure their same seats for all seven games by purchasing season tickets or they can create their own customized two or three-game mini plans.
In the case of inclement weather, the scrimmage location may be changed to the Robert L. Waltrip Indoor Training Center, located in the Greenbriar Lot.
