
Harned Named American Diving Athlete of the Week

IRVING – Rice junior Antonina Harned was named the American Conference Diving Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Harned helped lead the Owls to a team victory at the Rice Fall Splash, where they totaled 897 points. She swept the diving events, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter with NCAA Zone qualifying scores of 312.15 and 315.83, respectively.
Her performance also ranked first in the conference in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Nationally, she stood second in the 1-meter and fifth in the 3-meter.
Rice will return to the Rice Competition Pool this weekend to host North Texas for Senior Day at 11 a.m.
