Tchounagwa Earns Second AAC Honorable Mention

Tchouangwa continued her impressive sophomore season with a team-high 31 kills in two matches, including a career-high 19 against Tulane on Friday to open conference play. Tchouangwa also registered the first double-double of her career with 10 digs in that Tulane match. Her 31 kills put her at an impressive 3.88 kills per set, helping the Owls put up a total of 14 K/S. She posted a hitting percentage of .343 in two matches and also put up a team-high 32.5 points this week, including a career-high 20.0 points against Tulane, good for a team-high 4.06 points per set.
This is Tchouangwa's second honorable mention of the season and third weekly honor from the conference. She was an honorable mention in week two, and won the Offensive Player of the Week honor for her efforts in week four.
Tchounagwa and the Owls will return to play on Friday, October 4, as they head north to take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. First service is set for 6 p.m.
