Reggie Zhu Leads Golf During Second Round of Cabo Collegiate

Cabo, Mexico — Freshman Reggie Zhu carded a one-under 70 to lead the Rice Golf team during the second round of the Cabo Collegiate.
The Owls shot a +8, 292 to sit in 14th-place at +22.
Zhu started off strong with a birdie on the 17th hole. After seven straight pars, he bogeyed two of the next four holes. But he came right back with an eagle on the 13th before finishing with three straight pars. Zhu is currently tied for 54th-place at +6.
Junior Raghav Chugh and sophomore Lukas Boandl both carded 73's. Chugh is tied for 47th-place at +5 while Boandl is +12 in a tie for 68th-place.
Graduate student Jay Kirchdorfer shot a 76 to sit +7 in a tie for 58th-place and senior Blake Benson is tied for 64th-place at +9 after carding a 78.
No. 9 Arkansas leads the team tournament at -9, one stroke in front of No. 6 Arizona State. Stanford's Michael Thorgjornsen leads the individual tournament at -8, one stroke in front of Arkansas's Jacob Skov Olesen and Jake Hall of Tennessee.
