The "R" Association and Association of Rice University Black Alumni (ARUBA) Invite Members to Alumni Weekend Tailgate

The tailgate will open at 12 PM CT, three hours before the game. This free event will be a lively gathering filled with camaraderie, great food, and exciting football.
"We're thrilled to continue our collaboration with ARUBA for this event," said Alexis Garrett, Director of Student-Athlete Development & Letterwinner Engagement. "This tailgate is a wonderful chance for Rice letterwinners and ARUBA members to celebrate their shared experiences and strengthen connections. It's an event that I always look forward to".
The annual "R" Association and ARUBA Joint Tailgate at Homecoming/Alumni Weekend has been an official celebration for several years, starting in 2013 and formalizing during the 50th Anniversary of Black Student Life at Rice in 2015. Each year, the tailgate acknowledges and highlights the mutuality of shared membership between the two associations, and provides opportunities for reunions, new connections, collaborations, family fun, and safe returns for alumni across geography, generations/classes, and experiences.
"It's an event appreciated for providing a space to relax, have fun, and support current and former students and student-athletes. We are so proud of its continued growth and look forward to continuing the collaboration!" Kenitra Brown, ARUBA President commented.
All Rice Letterwinners can gain free entry to the game with their R Cards. Guests and ARUBA members can purchase game tickets HERE.
As the date approaches, additional information regarding parking and logistics will be provided to those who RSVP.
