HOUSTON, TX – Rice University Athletics is proud to announce the release of the 2023-2024 Annual Report for the SOAR (Student-Athlete Development & Letterwinner Engagement) Office. This report showcases the significant achievements and ongoing initiatives that have shaped the holistic development of our student-athletes throughout the past year.
The SOAR Office remains dedicated to preparing Rice student-athletes for success during their time at Rice and beyond, offering comprehensive support in professional development, leadership & DEI education, civic engagement, and mental wellness. Through collaboration with campus and community partners, the SOAR Office strives to provide every student-athlete with the resources and opportunities to thrive both personally and professionally.

- 3,418 Hours of Community Service: Rice student-athletes made a tangible impact through various community-driven projects and partnerships.
- 93% Flight Plan Completion: An overwhelming majority of Rice student-athletes completed their Flight Plan requirements, underscoring their dedication to holistic personal and professional development.
- Record Alumni Engagement: The launch of the R Association Mentorship Program and the highest attendance on record for the Rice Athletics Hall of Fame celebration.
