Owl Fest 2023: American Athletic Conference Celebration Day!

Owl Fest 2023, the free annual fan fest celebrating the beginning of Rice Athletics' competition year will take place on Saturday, August 19th, at 6:30 p.m. on the west concourse of Rice Stadium. This year, the event marks the American Athletic Conference Day, commemorating a new era for the Rice Owls.
Join the Rice Family for a fireworks celebration and a plethora of football, fun, and family-friendly activities. Be sure not to miss the top 25 bayou city volleyball matchup as the Rice Owls take on the Houston Cougars at 5:00 p.m. inside Tudor Fieldhouse, which will be a ticketed event!
Owl Fest is the perfect occasion to 'Meet the Owls' with student-athlete representatives from all varsity teams. Admission is free, and parking is available in the Greenbriar Lot on the west side of the stadium. Gates open shortly after 6:00 p.m., so arrive early to enjoy the festivities.
During the event, experience the secondary phase of stadium renovations as part of the Ascend Together campaign. The fan-facing improvements to Rice Stadium include the introduction of multi-tiered Party Decks on the Northwest and Southeast sides of the stadium, concourse upgrades, and visually enhanced presentations.
Explore the Shop Rice Owls team apparel shop and the Owls Kids Zone with various activities, like inflatables and a photo booth. DJ Friendzone will be spinning upbeat music for your entertainment throughout the event.
Don't forget to try delicious treats from Kona Ice and local food trucks ($), along with free samples from Rudy's, Coca Cola and Yuengling. There will be autograph cards, team posters, and enter-to-win giveaways through the College Football Playoff Experience available on the concourse.
