Fresh off their biggest win of the season to date, the No. 23 Rice Owls volleyball team begins their 18th and final season of Conference USA volleyball this weekend when they host UTSA (Friday) and travel to Louisiana Tech (Sunday). The Owls have dominated both series with a combined record of 46-10 all-time against the two opponents.

Fresh off their biggest win of the season to date, the No. 23 Rice Owls volleyball team begins their 18th and final season of Conference USA volleyball this weekend when they host UTSA (Friday) and travel to Louisiana Tech (Sunday). The Owls have dominated both series with a combined record of 46-10 all-time against the two opponents.
RICE NOTES
- After four consecutive weeks of receiving votes, the Owls were ranked No. 23 in the latest AVCA Top-25 Coaches Poll. It's the 16th time in program history the Owls have appeared in the Top-25.
- Rice fifth-year setter Carly Graham earned the Conference USA Setter of the Week award on Monday following a weekend in which the Owls' volleyball team took down No. 17 Creighton and Kansas State of the Big 12. In a pair of five-set victories, Graham totaled 108 assists (10.8 per set), 22 digs, 10 kills, and five blocks. The two-time C-USA Setter of the Year began the weekend with a 51-assist performance in the team's win over Kansas State to go along with six kills and eight digs. Then on Sunday, Graham helped lead the Owls to a comeback victory over the No. 17 Bluejays with 57 assists, 14 digs, and four blocks for her fourth double-double of the season.
- Graham enters play on Friday nine digs shy of 1,000 for her career.
- As a team the Owls currently rank 2nd in the NCAA in digs per set (18.00) and are 11th in opponents hitting percentage (.156). Rice collected a season-high 107 digs last Sunday in their win over No. 17 Creighton, the team's third performance this season with 100+ digs.
- With a pair of wins last weekend, the Owls are now 12-9 against Power-5 schools dating back to 2019 and have recorded three Top-25 victories during that stretch.
- Dating back to 2014 the Owls are 92-20 (.821) in Conference USA play, which includes a 47-3 (.940) record the last three seasons. Rice has won 26 consecutive C-USA regular season contests dating back to the 2019 season.
