19th Evening For Rice's Honour Set for October 11

The 19th "Evening For Rice's Honour" celebrating Rice's continuing success in intercollegiate athletics will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in the ballroom of River Oaks Country Club.
The biennial event began in 1984, but was not held in 2020 due to COVID-19. It returns as Rice Athletics prepares for entrance into the American Athletic Conference and is in the midst of its $100 million capital campaign. The evening's highlight will be the presentation of the Distinguished Owl Club Award to six individuals for their outstanding support and leadership of Rice Athletics: Thomas O. Clanton, MD; Julie Griswold; Jen Rigg Kneale; Mark Thomas Scully, Christopher Allen Shoppa and Robert L. Waltrip.
This year's event is again chaired by Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Bucky Allshouse and Dr. and Mrs. G. Walter McReynolds.
