- The Owls moved up a spot in the latest AVCA Top-25 Coaches Poll, coming in at No. 21. In the NCAA's latest RPI rankings, Rice comes in at No. 16.
- For the second straight week, Rice fifth-year middle blocker Anota Adekunle and fifth-year setter Carly Graham were honored by Conference USA as the Offensive Player and Setter of the Week, respectively. Adekunle posted 43 kills and hit .427 while adding nine blocs and six digs in Rice's three matches last week. Graham had two double-doubles, recording 125 assists and 21 digs on the week.
- Rice junior libero Nia McCardell currently leads Conference USA in digs per set, averaging 5.01, which is 21st in the country. Fifth-year middle blocker Anota Adekunle is second in C-USA with a 40.1% hitting percentage, good for 16th in the nation.
- As a team the Owls currently rank seventh in the NCAA in digs per set (17.19) and are 32nd in opponents hitting percentage (.171). The Owls have held 15 of 19 opponents below a hitting percentage of .200 or worse this season.
- Dating back to 2014 the Owls are 99-20 (.832) in Conference USA play, which includes a 54-3 (.947) record the last three seasons. Rice has won 33 consecutive C-USA regular season contests dating back to the 2019 season.
