
Golf Earns President’s Special Recognition Award from GCAA

HOUSTON — The Rice golf team earned President's Special Recognition Team honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America, the organization announced.
A total of 41 Division I teams received President's Special Recognition status for having team GPAs of 3.5 or better.
In addition to earning the honor, Rice placed nine golfers on the Commissioner's Honor Roll this spring, with Thomas Bockholt III and Rishi Kejriwal claiming C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medals.
From C-USA, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Southern Miss, UTEP and UTSA also posted a grade point average at 3.0 or better to earn All-Academic honors. Richmond was named the Academic National Champion.
