
WBB Signs Transfer Alexis Stover

Senior forward from Wright State
HOUSTON – Rice University women's basketball has signed transfer Alexis Stover, a 5-11 forward from Wright State, head coach Lindsay Edmonds announced on Friday (June 18). Stover will be eligible for the 2021-22 season.
"We are thrilled that Alexis has decided to join our Rice Owl family," Edmonds said. "Being able to add her to our roster and to bring in her size, experience and ability to shoot the basketball makes our entire staff very excited. We know that she can enhance our program not only on the court but off the court as well."
Last season Stover appeared in all 27 games for Wright State while making 14 starts. She logged 426 minutes of action while averaging 15.8 minutes per contest, 2.1 ppg, and 1.5 rpg. Stover was part of a Raiders team that earned their third Horizon League Championship title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
In 2019-20, Stover started all 31 games for the Raiders while averaging 5.5 points and 3.5 per game while earning a spot on the Horizon League All-Freshman Team.
Stover graduated from Solon High School (Solon, Ohio) where she totaled 1,179 career points where she was a three-time all-conference performer.
